PENGGUNAAN VIDEO-BASED LEARNING TEKNIK UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PENGUASAAN GRAMMAR

Abstract

This study discusses an action research design conducted by the teacher researcher to overcome the learning hindrances encountered by first semester students of Technique  Informatics Program at STMIK Pontianak in learning Grammar using Video- Based Learning technique. This study conducted into two cycles within three steps of Look-Think-Act of action research interacting spiral. Class 1C2 becomes the participants in this inquiry consisted of 35 students, 6 girls and 29 boys which come from different English backgrounds. Qualitative and quantitative are the data collection technique used in this study. The data are obtained from the field notes of the class atmosphere of learning using Video-Based Learning technique and from the students’ scores before and after the implementation of VBL in learning using SPSS vesion 25. Video-Based Learning is widely used method in teaching learning process. The outcomes shed light onto that VBL technique really influence students learning process and students outcomes of grammar increased of course having more meeting of learning using VBL is recommended.
